Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and what we do with it.
Earth Electrical NSW collects only what you send us — your name, contact details, suburb and job description. We use it to quote and do the work, we don’t sell it, and the only other thing we track is anonymous page-view statistics. To have your details removed, email matt@earth-electrical.com.au.

Who we are
Earth Electrical NSW (Matt Durkin) operates this website at https://www.earth-electrical.com.au. We are a licensed electrical contractor based in Lennox Head, NSW.
What we collect
We collect only what you give us. If you submit the quote form, that is your name, phone number, email address if provided, suburb, the service you selected, and whatever you write in the job details field. If you call or text, we hold your phone number and any details of the job.
This website does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Form submissions are processed by Netlify, our hosting provider.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to see which pages people read and how they found us. It sets a cookie and tells us things like page views, roughly which city a visit came from, and whether you arrived from a search engine. It does not tell us who you are, and it is never linked to the details you send us through the quote form.
We have turned off every advertising feature it offers — no ad personalisation, no remarketing, no data sharing with Google for its own purposes. We do not sell or share this information, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.
If you would rather not be counted, you can install Google’s official Analytics opt-out browser add-on, block analytics cookies in your browser settings, or use private browsing. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.
Why we collect it
Solely to respond to your enquiry, quote the work, carry out the job, and issue an invoice and any compliance documentation. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not add you to a mailing list without asking.
Who we share it with
Nobody, other than service providers we need to run the business — our hosting provider (Netlify), email provider, and accounting software. Where a job requires it, we may share relevant details with a network provider or another trade on site. We may disclose information where required by law.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept for up to two years. Records relating to completed work, including compliance certificates and invoices, are retained for at least seven years as required for tax and electrical safety record-keeping.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are transmitted encrypted. No online transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect information we hold.
Access and correction
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. Email matt@earth-electrical.com.au or call 0412 521 992.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, contact us first. If it is not resolved, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page.
