Services
Residential Electrician
Repairs, new circuits, power points and everything else around the house.
Earth Electrical NSW handles all residential electrical work across Lennox Head, Ballina and Byron Bay — power points, lighting, fault finding, safety switches, switchboard repairs and rewiring. Every job is carried out by a licensed electrician and comes with a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work.
Most of what we do is ordinary house work done properly: a dead circuit traced back to its cause, extra power points where you actually need them, a light that has flickered for two years finally sorted. It is unglamorous and it is the work that keeps a home safe.
What’s included
- Power point installation, replacement and relocation
- Internal and external lighting
- Fault finding and electrical repairs
- Safety switch (RCD) installation and testing
- Rewiring and circuit upgrades
- Appliance and oven connection
- Pre-purchase and pre-renovation electrical checks
What a residential call-out usually covers
We take on single jobs and whole-house work. If you are unsure whether something is worth a call, it almost certainly is — most electrical faults are cheap to fix early and expensive to ignore.
How we work
You get a time, and we turn up at it. If something looks bigger than expected once we open it up, you hear about it before we start, not after. Boots come off at the door.

Residential Electrical questions
Do I need a licensed electrician for small jobs?
Yes. In NSW, almost all fixed electrical work — including replacing a power point or light fitting — must be carried out by a licensed electrician. Only unfixed work such as plugging in an appliance is exempt.
How much does an electrician cost in the Northern Rivers?
Small residential jobs are usually quoted as a call-out plus time and materials, while larger work like a rewire or switchboard upgrade is quoted as a fixed price after an inspection. We give you the number before we start.
Will I get a compliance certificate?
Yes. Every job that involves new or altered electrical work is issued with a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW), which is your record that the work meets AS/NZS 3000.
