Outdoor & Landscape Lighting
Deck, path, garden and facade lighting built for a coastal climate.
Earth Electrical NSW installs outdoor and landscape lighting across Lennox Head, Ballina and Byron Bay — deck, step, path, garden and facade lighting. We specify marine-grade and coastal-rated fittings because standard hardware corrodes quickly this close to the ocean.
Outdoor lighting is where a house stops looking like a house and starts looking finished. It is also where cheap fittings fail fastest — salt air near Lennox and Byron will find every weak seal within a season.
What’s included
- Deck, step and stair lighting
- Garden spike and spot lighting
- Path and driveway lighting
- Facade and wall washing
- Sensor, timer and photocell control
- Weatherproof outdoor power points
- Pool, pergola and entertaining-area lighting
Built for salt air
We specify fittings with the IP and corrosion rating the location actually needs, and we use marine-grade stainless or powder-coated aluminium near the coast. A cheap garden spike light two streets from the beach is a twelve-month fitting.
Light the ground, not your neighbours
Good landscape lighting is mostly restraint — low, warm, aimed down, with the source hidden. Timers and photocells so it runs itself, and separate circuits so the deck and the driveway are not tied together.

Outdoor & Landscape Lighting questions
Do outdoor lights need a special rating near the beach?
Yes. Coastal installations need a minimum IP65 rating plus corrosion-resistant materials such as 316 marine-grade stainless steel. Standard outdoor fittings often begin corroding within a year within a few kilometres of the surf.
Can outdoor lighting be added to an existing garden?
Yes. We run low-profile cabling through garden beds and under paths with minimal disturbance, and can usually pick up supply from an existing external circuit.
Will garden lighting increase my power bill much?
Not meaningfully. A typical LED landscape system draws less than a single old halogen floodlight, and adding a timer or photocell keeps it to the hours you actually use it.
